Seeking mentorship and business etiquette training can be a game-changer. More than 90% of hiring managers believe new graduates need business etiquette training. Learning professional communication and networking skills can help Black Gen Z women build confidence and credibility.

Proving Your Value and Securing Job Stability

Earning a seat at the table requires consistent effort. Employers expect dependability, initiative, and strong work ethic. Meeting deadlines, volunteering for projects, and embracing challenges can help Black Gen Z women stand out.

Taking on leadership roles in small ways, such as organizing team activities or proposing new ideas, can also showcase reliability. When supervisors see consistent contributions, they are more likely to view young employees as valuable assets.

Overcoming Bias and Advocating for Yourself

Many Black women face microaggressions and biases at work. These challenges can impact confidence and career progression. Addressing them requires a mix of diplomacy and self-advocacy.
